The Home NAS is a DS1821+ running DSM 7.2-64570 Update 2 and the remote NAS is a DS1815+ running DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 6 (the most current available for that machine).Īny suggestions? (Google hasn't been my friend, and neither has the Synology Knowledge Base). I can't figure out why this would be the case, nor why the remote NAS doesn't automatically sync/download the most recent files, only the files that were on the system when I first set up ShareSync. the newest ones (from around the time I did the initial setup) were missing. When I went back in to re-select all the folders I want synced in the Folder-Based Selective Sync directory, all of the sub-folders weren't up-to-date. This allows you to access files at local speeds in multiple locations and can even be an offsite backup for. In an effort to solve the issue, I unlinked the 2 NAS's and set up the ShareSync connection from scratch. This tutorial goes over how to setup multiple Synology NAS to sync with one another. You have enabled Team Folder on your remote NAS in Synology Drive Admin Console > Team Folder. The Sync is one-way from my home NAS to the remote NAS. Before you start Before you begin to use Synology Drive ShareSync, be sure to check the following: Synology Drive Server has been installed on all Synology NAS that you wish to sync with. The remote connection is working, but for the most part it's not automatically recognizing and syncing new files from my home NAS, although occasionally, indiscriminately, it does. I did the original sync with both machines physically side-by-side on my local network before moving the second NAS to its remote location. I have Synology Drive ShareSync set up between my home NAS and a remote NAS.
